Hypnosis Uncovered What Therapy Couldn't

Your Life Is Already Giving You Clues

July 08, 20262 min read

Most of us think we'll know when something is wrong because it will be obvious.

We'll have a breakdown. A major life event. A flashing neon sign telling us it's time to make a change.

But more often than not, life whispers before it shouts.

The clues are already there.

Maybe you keep finding yourself in the same kinds of relationships. Maybe you're wildly successful at work but feel disconnected from the people you love. Maybe you react more intensely than a situation seems to warrant, or you can't quite put your finger on why you feel stuck.

Those aren't random experiences. They're data.

In this week's episode of The WTF Podcast, my guest, Beth Jones, shares an incredible story that illustrates this perfectly. Before a hypnotherapy session uncovered buried childhood trauma, she wasn't searching for forgotten memories. She simply knew something wasn't right. Despite a wildly successful career as a forensic accountant investigating fraud and corruption, she couldn't form the deep connections she longed for. She looked at the landscape of her life and realized every relationship seemed to follow the same pattern.

That was the clue.

As Beth says in the episode, the common denominator was her.

That wasn't a statement of blame—it was an invitation to become curious.

I think that's where so many of us get stuck. We either ignore the clues because they're uncomfortable, or we judge ourselves for them. What if, instead, we treated them like breadcrumbs leading us toward healing?

Your current reality is telling a story.

Your exhaustion.

Your resentment.

Your people-pleasing.

Your emotional triggers.

Your inability to receive love.

Your constant need to stay busy.

None of those things mean you're broken. They simply point to places that deserve your attention.

You don't have to know the entire story to take the next step. You just have to be willing to notice what's showing up in your life and get curious enough to ask, Why might this be happening?

Sometimes that single question becomes the thread that unravels years of survival patterns and opens the door to profound healing.

Beth's journey is an extraordinary example of what can happen when you're willing to follow the evidence instead of running from it. Her story is deeply moving, incredibly hopeful, and a beautiful reminder that even the hardest truths can become the beginning of your freedom.

If you've been sensing that something in your life isn't quite aligned—but you can't explain why—I think this conversation will resonate with you.

Check out this week's episode. It just might help you recognize the clues your own life has been trying to show you.
